2014/15 Premier League Fixtures Revealed

Fixtures for the 2014/15 Premier League season have been revealed, with champions Manchester City opening the defence of the league title away at Newcastle United while Chelsea visit newly promoted Burnley.

Rickie Lambert would be in line for an opening day reunion when his new club and last season’s runners-up Liverpool kick-off the campaign at home to Southampton.

FA Cup champions Arsenal will be at home to fellow Londoners Crystal Palace on opening day while Louis van Gaal will begin his reign as Manchester United boss with a home fixture against Swansea City.

Man. City are scheduled to face Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in their opening five fixtures, with games against Tottenham Hotspur and the derby against Man. United to follow for City on Matchdays 8 and 10.

For Arsenal, there will be games away at Everton, at home to Man. City and Tottenham and away at Chelsea in four of the opening seven fixtures of the Gunners while Man. United will face Everton, Chelsea, Man. City and Arsenal between the seventh and 12th matchdays.

Of the newly promoted sides, Burnley face the toughest opening day with the visit of Chelsea while Leicester City will be at home to Everton and Queens Park Rangers will also be at home to beaten FA Cup finalists Hull City.

The 2014/15 Premier League season kicks off on the weekend of August 16, 2014 and will conclude on May 24, 2015 with Man. City at home to Southampton, Man. United away at Hull City, Arsenal at home to West Brom, Liverpool at Stoke City and Chelsea at home to 2014 Capital One Cup finalists Sunderland.

Before then, Manchester City will face Arsenal in the Community Shield; the traditional curtain raiser of the English league season, on August 10 at Wembley.

Dates for the fixtures are subject to change due to television schedules and clashes with fixtures of other competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and FA Cup.
