Barely 18 hours after parting company with Antonio Conte, Italian club Juventus have announced Massimo Allegri as its new manager in reported a two-year deal worth €2m per season.

Allegri joins Juventus seven months after being sacked at AC Milan where he won the Serie A title and Italian Supercoppa in 2011 before enduring a torrid start to the 2013/14 season which led to his exit in January.

The 46 year old will be unveiled by Juventus this afternoon as Conte’s replacement, with the latter leaving his position on Tuesday after three successful seasons at the club that saw Juventus win three consecutive league titles.

Conte’s shock exit has fuelled speculation over the futures of key midfielders Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba, both of whom are linked with big-money moves away from the club.
