Defending Federation Cup champions Enyimba have qualified for the semi-finals of the competition along with Dolphins that overcame Lobi Stars in a six-goal encounter.

First half goals from Kingsley Sokari in the 25th minute and Camerounian striker Rafael Boumsong 10 minutes later gave 10-man Enyimba a 2-0 win over Sharks of Port-harcourt in Abuja.

The Aba Elephants as a result will next face Giwa FC, with the Jos based club overcoming Crown FC 5-4 on penalties after a goalless 90 minutes in Nnewi to reach their first ever semi-final of the Federation Cup.

Six-time Cup winners Dolphins defeated Lobi Stars of Makurdi 4-2 in Enugu through goals from Emem Eduok, Ebube Okpokwu, Bolaji Sakin and Victor Alegbe, with Shuaibu Adamu and Seriki Audu in stoppage time scoring the Lobi goals.

The win for Dolphins set up a semi-final clash with Prime FC, with the last non-Premier League club left in the competition coming through victorious in its quarter-final match against Gateway in Kaduna.
