Radamel Falcao is set to join Manchester United on a €12m loan deal from French club AS Monaco, subject to the Colombian striker passing a medical at Old Trafford and agreeing personal terms.
The 28-year old had been dropped from Monaco’s squad ahead of the 1-1 draw at Lille on Saturday and was linked with a permanent move to city rivals Manchester City only for the Premier League champions to reportedly pull out of a £55m deal.
Falcao, who joined Monaco in a £50m move from Atletico Madrid, would become Louis van Gaal’s fifth signing following Angel di Maria, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind who is set to join from Ajax.
The move is coming on the heels of Manchester United reportedly reaching an agreement to loan Javier Hernandez to Real Madrid for a season, with the option of the Spanish club signing the Mexican striker for €22m after.
