All hail the Commander-In-Chief! Jonathan steps out in military uniform

President Goodluck Jonathan in recent days has been asserting his other role as commander-in-chief of the Nigerian armed forces, providing the necessary motivation for troops facing fire from Boko Haram.

After years of facing criticism for doing so little, he is showing that he is a different man, especially with elections looming.

On Thursday, he visited recovered towns of Mubi and Baga. Here are some images recorded during the trip.
