Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero: to battle Nasir el-Rufai of APC

Ahead of Saturday‎’s governorship election in Kaduna state , the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP , said it is battle ready to defeat the All Progressives Congress , APC in the State.

Kaduna State PDP, Chairman Chief Abubakar Gaiya Haruna who stated this while briefing newsmen shortly after a close door meeting with party stakeholders today at General Hassan Katsina State House,maintained that the party has put its house in order for a sure victory .

According to him, the fact that General Muhammadu Buhari and his APC won the presidential election in the state does not mean that PDP will loose the governorship election .

He also noted that PDP as a party have learnt from their shortcomings during the recent presidential polls and have already made necessary amends ahead of the governorship election to avoid a repeat.

He however urged the electorate to come out en-masse and support the PDP Governorship candidate, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero and other State assembly candidates.

Meanwhile, he congratulated President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for providing an enabling environment for a free, fair and credible polls as well as conceding defeat.

He equally congratulated the President elect, General Muhammadu Buhari for his victory but, urged him to be magnanimous in victory and build on the transformation agenda of President Jonathan.

While calling on supporters of the APC not to see winning as an avenue for intimidating others,he urged PDP supporters to be law abiding.
