Okafor Ofiebor/Port Harcourt
Barely 48 hours after a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, presided over by Justice F.C. Amadi, dismissed the suit filed by former Governor Rotimi Amaechi over the powers of the judicial panel of enquiry set by Governor Nyesom Wike to investigate his predecessor’s administration, the Panel has invited former Agriculture Commissioner, Mr.Emma Chinda.
Chinda who is also the agent of All Progressive Congress, APC, during the 11 April governorship election, was invited through a letter endorsed by the Secretary to the Judicial Panel of Enquiry, Mrs. Queen Godwin.
The Former Commissioner for Agriculture is to explain to the Panel on its inaugural sitting on Monday 24 August, how about N4 billion agricultural loans were disbursed by the Amaechi-led administration.
It is not clear if Chinda, a known loyalist of Amaechi, would honour the invitation.
