Jackson Pavaza: centre referee

Referee Jackson Pavaza from Namibia  has been named by FIFA to officiate the do-or-die second leg match between Nigeria and Swaziland in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

The match will kick off at 4pm Nigerian time at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium .

The assistant referees are also from Namibia. They are Isaskar Boois and Christof Alfred Vries. The fourth official, Leston Nangombe is also Namibian.

Bester Kalombo from Malawi will be the referee assessor with Ethiopian Luleseged Begashaw as match commissioner.

Thirty one year-old Javaza’s last officiated match was in September, when Algeria beat Lesotho in the qualification series for the Cup of Nations. In the three matches he officiated for which records are available since April,  he gave four yellow cards, but no red card.

After playing a barren draw on Friday, Nigeria’s Super Eagles  need to win the match to qualify for the group stage of the 2018 World Cup Qualification series.

Meanwhile, the Eagles opponents have arrived  in Port Harcourt,  going by the itinerary published by the NFF.

The 28-man delegation of Sihlangu Somnikati are staying  at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Port Harcourt, courtesy of the Rivers State Government.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the National Football Association of Swaziland, Frederick Mngomezulu, the Sihlangu delegation departed from Swaziland on Saturday, and travelled via ARIK Air from Johannesburg on Saturday night, arriving  Lagos on Sunday morning.

The delegation then flew to Port Harcourt Sunday morning aboard another ARIK Air flight from Lagos.
