The Governing Council of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has approved the promotion of  698 staff members of the institution.

The Council  gave the approval  at its 84th and 85th meetings.

A breakdown of the beneficiaries shows  that the academics have 102 members promoted,  while the non- teaching staff got  596 members on the list.

According to a statement released on Friday from the office of the Directorates Public Relations department, 22 Professors and 18 Readers were  among those promoted.

The Professors and Readers were promoted, having attained the required number of publications in reputable journals, apart from attaining  the statutory numbers of years in service.
