Rivers: NJC extends tenure of Justice Daisy Okocha as Acting Chief Judge

The Rivers State government has said that National Judicial Council, NJC, has recommended the extension of the appointment of the Acting Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Daisy Okocha from 1st December , 2015 to 15th January, 2016.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has therefore approved the extension of the appointment of Justice Daisy Okocha as Acting Chief Judge of the state from 1st December, 2015 to 15th January, 2016.

In a press statement Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant, Electronic Media also said in the same vein, the National Judicial Council has recommended the extension of the appointment of Justice Christy Gabriel-Nwankwo as the Acting President of Rivers State Customary Court of Appeal for an additional period of three months.

Following the recommendation of NJC, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has also approved the extension of the appointment of Justice Christy Gabriel-Nwankwo as the Acting President of Rivers State Customary Court of Appeal for another three months.
