Argentina and Brazil will finally play their much anticipated World Cup qualifier in Buenos Aires today, rains permitting.

The match scheduled for Thursday was shifted till today after torrential rains soaked the Estadio Monumental. Kick-off will be 9pm Argentine time.

Neymar is expected to  make his first appearance for Brazil  since completing the four match ban he received during the 2015 Copa América. Argentina will be Messi-less.

Argentina have just one point from their opening two matches, while Brazil lost to Chile in their opening fixture but then defeated Venezuela 3-1.

In one of the high profile matches played on Thursday, Colombia held  hosts Chile, the Copa America champions, 1-1.

Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal had headed Chile ahead on the stroke of half-time.

But in the 68th minute, James Rodríguez right-footer got the ‘cafeteros’ back on level terms.  Next up for Chile is a trip to Montevideo to face Uruguay on November 18.
