Breaking News: INEC suspends collation of results in Bayelsa

The Independent National Electoral Commission has suspended further collation of the governorship election results in Bayelsa State.

INEC had announced results for five out of the eight local councils in the state, before its officials announced they were discontinuing the process at 8.55 p.m.

The results for three local governments are now being awaited. They are for Nembe, Southern Ijaw and Ogbia local government.#Bayelsadecides

The Independent National Electoral Commission has so far released the full results of five out of the eight local councils of Bayelsa State.

Governor Seriake Dickson of the PDP leads his APC opponent in four out of the five councils declared so far. Dickson has won 81,929 votes, while Timipre Sylva has 55,515 votes.

Fred Agbedi PDP State Agent asked for the cancellation of Ward 3,4 and Unit 12 Ward 5 . Election in this area didn’t hold including Ward 1 in Twin. He  complained of violence,intimidation and physical attacks against PDP supporters

As at  8.55 pm, INEC discontinues collation of the results and announces it will  continue tomorrow Monday December 8 by 10 am
No Results from Nembe, Southern Ijaw,Ogbia local government areas are yet to be announced.
