Clean the beach

Further to its corporate social responsibility, Kinetic Sports, organizers of the international beach soccer tournament, Copa Lagos, held its annual ‘Clean The Beach’ day out on Saturday 5th December, 2015.’

Clean The Beach’ is, according to R&B PR, designed to encourage public attention to the maintenance of clean and sanitary beaches and pleasant waterfronts, and is one of a series of events leading up to the 2015 edition of Copa Lagos.

The clean-up exercise

Officials of long-standing sponsors First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Pepsi, Cool FM, Super Sports, Waka Now, Hero, joined other beach soccer enthusiasts and members of LAWMA (Lagos State Waste Management Authority) in gathering waterfront garbage and waste material from the Elegushi Beach waterfront.

The clean-up morning attracted charitable organizations, community leaders and celebrities including Sound Sultan, Emmanuel Ikubese (Mr. Nigeria 2014), Ozzy Agu, Marie Miller (Miss Earth 2015) amongst others.

Clean The Beach is a prelude to Copa Lagos, Nigeria’s highly entertaining international beach soccer festival, holding this year at the Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island, from 18th to 20th December 2015
