Algerians U-23 jubilate after winning Olympic ticket: will they jubilate tonight against Nigeria?

The final match in the African U-23 final between Nigeria and Algeria will begin at 8pm Nigerian time at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar Senegal.

The match will take place after the third place match between host Senegal and South Africa. This will begin at 5pm.

While the latter two teams will be battling for the third Rio Olympics ticket for Africa, Nigeria and Algeria will battle for the cup. They had already pocketed two of the Olympic  tickets, with Algeria doing so for the first time in 35 years.

Referee Hamada El Moussa Nampiandraz from Madagascar will officiate the Nigeria-Algeria match, according to CAF.

He will be assisted by Yahaya Mahamadou from Niger and Olivier Safari Kabene from Congo Democratic Republic.

Nigeria’s Dream Team and the Les Fennecs are familiar foes. They know each other very well, having come from the same Group B in the beginning of the championship.

The final match will then be a repeat of the group’ last match which ended in a barren draw. It will be a different ball game this time around as all eyes will be on them to determine who will be crowned the African champions.
