Despite differences in faiths, the fact that the two major Abrahamic religions are bound by one humanity was demonstrated on Friday in Biliri local government area of Gombe State. A man suspected to be a suicide bomber who disguised as a woman with suicide vest strapped over his waist, was about to bomb the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) church where Christmas service was ongoing. However, he was arrested by some vigilance Muslim youth who were guarding the church.

Were it not for the vigilance of the Muslim youths, it would have been a trgic Christmas for members of ECWA who, because of the special occasion, filled the church to the rafters.
