The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has formerly sent forth his retired Deputy General Overseer, Pastor J. H. Abiona, who has been assisting him since 1981, when he took over the mantle of leadership of the church.

Others that were equally sent forth were his retired Assistants General Overseers: Pastors Akindele, Ilori, P. Ojo, M. Ojo, Aderibigbe and Otegbade, who got posthumous sent forth.

They were all given a brand new latest model of Toyota Corolla each. That of Pastor Otegbade was given to his wife.

The event was during the annual Ministers’ Thanksgiving held today at Redemption Camp. Adeboye started by saying, ‘Papa DGO has been faithful since he started assisting me since 1981. I want to officially send him off and other retired AGOs. I will give them gift that will be there in the next 10 years as a personal gratitude. Each of them will get a Toyota Corolla.’

The man of God also appreciated some of the senior pastors of the church who performed creditably last year. His wife, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye, was equally recognized as the one who helped Pastor Adeboye the most in year 2015.
