Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa has dedicated his victory to God, the resilient Bayelsans who protected their votes and the ordinary Bayelsans who were killed by political thugs while protecting their franchise.

Dickson, however, called on Bayelsans to be sober in their celebration in honour of those killed.

However, he called on Timipre Sylva, the APC candidate who lost, to collaborate with him for the sake of the people of Bayelsa. He was speaking with Television Continental a few hours after he was declared winner of the rerun election. He promised also to collaborate with the Federal Government.

The Governor promised to continue with his laudable projects such as security and others that made people to vote for him. He lauded the people that made him win in seven out of the eight local government in the state.
