Victor Adekanye Olabimtan, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, western Nigeria, has been kidnapped.
The 58 year-old politician was reportedly kidnapped Sunday night on his way to Abuja.
Olabimtan was a former speaker of the State House of Assembly and a commissioner of the Federal Civil Service Commission.
Until he joined the APC, he was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party and contested the PDP nomination for governorship election in 2012.
