Sharon Olive Ikeazor: enters Anambra  Central Senate race

Sharon Olive Ikeazor, a lawyer and a member of the Board of Trustees of the All Progressives  Congress  has emerged as  the latest contender for her party’s nomination as candidate  for the Anambra Central Senate seat.

Uche Ekwunife, a decampee from the Peoples Democratic Party and occupier of the seat until the Appeal court ordered a fresh election appeared, however, to have had a head start in the race.

But Sharon is counting on her  30 year experience as a lawyer, her marriage to the  late legal luminary and founder of Legal Aid Council, Chief Chimezie Ikeazor, Oboli of Obosi, and her past and current duties for the party.

She presented her expression of interest letter to  the full House of the State Executive of APC led by Barrister Emeka Ibe in Awka today, saying she had paid her dues to win the ticket.

‘‘Being a foundation member of our great party, I believe that our party will give all necessary support in my quest for the Senatorial seat and I assure our party that I will represent APC in the 8th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with with pride and great honour and uphold the integrity of which our party stands for.”

Barrister Ibe thanked her for showing interest and promised that APC would follow due process and give all aspirants a level playing ground.
