Arsene Wenger  will deploy midfielder Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez today as Arsenal host struggling Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.

Mesut Ozil had missed several matches over a foot injury.   Sanchez had been nursing a  hamstring problem.

The return of the duo is not the only good news for Arsenal, who need to win today’s game to roll back to the top of the table. New signing Egyptian Mohamed Elneny could make his debut in midfield but Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla, Tomas Rosicky (all knee), Jack Wilshere (leg) and Danny Welbeck (bone bruising) are out.

There is good news for Team Chelsea as well. Diego Costa, who accrued a three-match ban for a clash with Laurent Koscielny in the reverse fixture, is fit to return, along with Belgium international Eden Hazard. Interim coach Guus Hiddink, however said Hazard may not last the entire 90 minutes.

Hiddink has  meanwhile challenged Chelsea to step up their defensive efforts as they look to extend their dominant record against Arsenal .

Arsene Wenger’s side, who lie three points behind leaders Leicester, have not beaten Chelsea in the top flight since October 2011 and have gone more than eight hours without a goal in that sequence
