The need to block all safe havens for looted funds from Nigeria was at the heart of his President Muhammadu Buhari’s foreign trips.
Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, stated this in Abuja on Monday during a chat with State House correspondents.
The presidential spokesman said Buhari’s foreign trips had enabled his government to secure agreements and understanding with various countries on recovery and repatriation of stolen funds.
Shehu also disclosed that Nigeria’s top security officials would travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next week to further actualise an agreement on recovery and repatriation of stolen funds.
