A former Jamaican beauty queen, now a flight attendant on JetBlue Airways in the US has been arrested for cocaine trafficking.
Marsha Gay Reynolds had tried to smuggle almost 70 pounds (31.8 kg) of cocaine from Los Angeles International Airport to New York. The drugs were worth $3million
Reynolds was stopped at random during luggage-screening processes on Friday by a Transportation Security Administration officer at the airport.
The report added that she kicked off her Gucci high heels and successfully fled.
According to an affidavit, in her abandoned luggage, 11 independently wrapped packages containing cocaine were found.
She surrendered to U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents in New York on Wednesday.
She would face a charge of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
