The Lagos State commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, has reiterated his commitment to work with all other security agencies to ensure the protection of lives and property in Lagos State, western Nigeria.

Owoseni stated this during a courtesy visit by the Lagos commandant of Nigeria Air force, NAF, Mr Paul Masiyer, at his office in Ikeja on Tuesday. The two parties met and agreed to collaborate on matters relating to security in Lagos State.

The police boss revealed that since he assumed office as the Lagos CP, he had the opportunity to work with other security agents such as Army, Navy, Civil Defence, Customs etc. He assured the new Air force commandant that he would work with him on security in the overall interest of the public.

He explained that the success he had made in the area of security was as a result of the synergy the police built with the stake-holders such as the Lagos State government, the media, the public and other security agencies in the State.

He assured that the police would continue to build on the success achieved with the collaboration of other agencies including the Air force. Owoseni presented a souvenir to Masiyer in appreciation of his visit. Other top ranking Air Force officers accompanied him.

On his own part, Masiyer commended Owoseni for his efforts in providing adequate security in the state and said he noted the remarkable achievements he had made in the area of security and commended the police for the feat.

The Air force boss told Owoseni that he had come to identify and partner with him and work with him in synergy to improve the structure already built by the police. He assured Owoseni of his cooperation and that of his officers to provide security in Lagos State. Masiyer also presented a souvenir to Owoseni. The event was attended by some senior police officers and Air force men.
