The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewaland,Oba Kehinde Olugbenle has pleaded with the abductors of the former Minister,Senator Iyabo Anisulowo to release her unconditionally or be ready to fight with the gods.
The monarch in a statement warned the kidnappers not to invite the wrath of the gods on themselves.
But he also pleaded for the quick release of the kidnapped woman.
Anisulowo, a former minister of State for education was kidnapped Wednesday evening when returning from her farm along Sawonjo-Igbogila road.
The State Commissioner of Police,CP Abdulmajid Ali and other senior officers have since relocated to Ilaro.
The Royal father,however thanked the governor and his cabinet, the CP and other security personnel for their prompt reaction to the incident,urging them not to relent until the woman is brought back safely.
Meanwhile,sympathisers have continued to visit her residence in the Government Reservation Area of Ilaro.
Among the callers today were the former deputy governor of the State,Alhaja Salamotu Badru and the PDP governorship candidate in the last election,Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka,GNI.
Others at the residence today was the lawmaker representing Yewa South/Ipokia federal constituency, AbdulKabir Adekunle Akinlade and some executive members of the ruling All Progressives Congress,APC in the state led by their Chairman,Alhaji Roqeeb Adeniji.
Prince Isiaka and the former deputy governor described the kidnapping of the 65 year-old woman as shocking and pleaded with the abductors to release her unhurt.
Both expressed the view that government needs to do more in the area of security of lives and property.
The APC Chairman, Roqeeb Adeniji expressed shock and slammed the kidnappers for being heartless.
Youth groups, both social, political and religious,who are connected with the woman were seen with their members carrying various banners,with inscription of #bringbackanisulowo.
