Adebimpe Ogunlumade: regains freedom

The Permanent Secretary, Osun Ministry of Finance, Mrs Adebimpe Ogunlumade, who was kidnapped on Friday along other two officials, have been released.

She was released today along with  Mr Tajudeen Badejoko, a director in the ministry and her driver, Mr Oladapo Ajani.

The state Head of Service, Mr Sunday Owoeye, announced the release today in a statement. He did not indicate whether ransom was paid to the abductors.

According to the statement, the officials regained their freedom from their abductors on Sunday evening but did not indicate where the victims secured their freedom.

It, however, said that “arrangements were ongoing to convey them to Osogbo within the shortest time possible by security agents with a view to re-uniting them with their families’’.

Ogunlumade, Badejoko and Ajani were kidnapped at Obajana village on Lokoja-Kabba road on April 22, while returning from a meeting in Abuja.
