Watford are parting ways with their coach,   Quique Sanchez Flores.

The London club said Flores will leave the Premier League club at the end of the season.

A statement on the website of club said Flores will leave after the game against Sunderland on Sunday.

“Watford Football Club can confirm that Quique Sanchez Flores will leave Vicarage Road at the end of the season following the Sunderland game this weekend.

“We would like to thank Quique. He and the team achieved the target set them at the start of the season of staying in the Premier League for a second year.

“Quique leaves with all our best wishes for the future and the knowledge he is always welcome at Vicarage Road,” the statement read.

There have been speculations about the future of Flores after Watford’s performance in the second half of the season took a dip.

Under Flores, Watford built a strong attacking partnership in Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney.

Unconfirmed reports said Flores will be replaced by former Napoli and Inter coach Walter Mazzarri.

He is expected to  sign a three-year deal to become Watford’s new manager.

Mazzarri, who guided Napoli to second place in Serie A in 2013, has been out of work since November 2014 after being sacked by Inter, Goal.com reported.
