Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole was part of the Federal Government team that met with trade union leaders to resolve the crisis triggered by the increase in the price of petrol.
Both the NLC and the TUC are threatening to call out workers on strike with effect from 00.00 Hours on Wednesday, if the government refused to annul the price increase.
The Federal Government appeared unbending.
Oshiomhole, who was a former president of NLC, met with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday before the talks at the office of the secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal.
Oshiomhole was accompanied by the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige.
