Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has been accused of disbursing N2 billion Central Bank Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Fund‎, with the intent of wooing APC members and delegates to support a his anoited aspirant.

The State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Orbih stated this on Thursday in Benin while responding to questions from journalists.

It would be recalled that the Governor, last week disbursed the fund to 10,000 beneficiaries across the state.

Chief Orbih who faulted the Governor’s claim, noted that “a state government will resort to all sorts of tactics to see whether it can survive.

“That money, I am informed and I believe it, that, it is to woo APC members and delegates to support the candidature of a particular aspirant in APC,” Orbih alleged.

Also responding to a question on his invit‎ation by EFCC to Port-Harcourt, Chief Orbih said he was called to throw light on how the N700 million Jonathan campaign fund for Edo was spent.

He explained that he was not in a position to know the source of the money, insisting that the fund was used for the presidential and National Assembly election in Edo State.

He commended the EFCC officials for being courteous and professional in their investigation.‎
