Three ministers of President Muhammadu Buhari are currently indisposed, it was revealed on Wednesday at the weekly meeting of Nigeria’s cabinet, the Federal Executive Council.

Babachir David Lawal, secretary of the Federal Government  had like the British Prime Minister, David Cameron committed an ‘unforced error’ before journalists when he reeled out the names of members of FEC who are indisposed  due to various ailments when he was asked to do the Christian prayer at the opening of the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture had earlier prayed in the Islamic way without revealing much.

But while saying the Christian prayers at the meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the SGF first prayed for the President who as every Nigerian now knows, has been in London since Monday for a 10-day rest during which he will also take care of an ear infection.

But Lawal said the President is on medical vacation, contrary to the claims of the Presidency on Monday that the treatment for the ear infection is just an aside in the President’s 10 days trip.

The SGF then went on to list the ministers who are indisposed, down  with various ailments, praying that God will heal them.

Lawal revealed that the Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Aisha Alhassan “is recuperating in US after a surgery,” but did not reveal what necessitated the surgery.

Next is Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education who Lawal said is suffering from back pain.

Lawal thought he was done and concluded his prayers until he was reminded that the Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Jibril has also been indisposed.

The SGF quickly added the Minister to the list of the indisposed cabinet members.

President Buhari  had departed Nigeria on Monday for a holiday during which he will also see an ENT specialists for examination of a persistent ear infection.

The President wrote the National Assembly on Tuesday informing the lawmakers that the Vice President will act on his behalf while he was away.
