Babangida: Robust

Ibrahim Babangida, a former military president was a robust man. His cherubic face and tooth gap combine to give him a special image in the consciousness of people.

However, Babangida, IBB for style, is now an old man with features of people who have seen it all. His new look is clearly a result of aging or illness or a combination of both. He has actually been ill, was in Germany for treatment. He returned to Nigeria on Friday afternoon from a medical trip in Germany, thereby putting an end to all rumours that he may have passed on in the European country.

Jibrin Ndace, Chief Press Secretary to Abubakar Bello, the governor of Niger, the home state of the former military ruler Nigerians popularly called “IBB” said in a statement that the retired General returned to Nigeria through the Minna International Airport at about 3:30pm on Friday after a three week medical trip to a German Hospital.
Governor Bello was one of those who welcomed the former military President at the Airport.
