A Federal high court sitting in Lagos south west Nigeria today adjourned till Monday, 4th of July, 2016 to rule on bail application filed before the court on behalf of former Aviation minister Femi Fanikayode, former Minister of Finance Nnenadi Esther Usman, and one Danjuma Yusuf.

Barrister Ifedayo Adedipe, SAN, and Chief Ferdinand Orbih SAN leading eleven other lawyers urged the court to admit the accused persons to bail in liberal terms since they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The court was urged to admit Fani Kayode to bail on self recognition, because as a responsible member of the Nigerian society, he has served this nation meritoriously in several capacities.

The court was equally urged to admit former finance minister to bail on liberal term having come from New Jersey in far away United States where she was receiving medical attention, when he was invited by the EFCC and she was graciously given administrative bail.

However, EFCC prosecutor Mr Rotimi Oyedepo while opposing the bail application of the accused persons told the court that the accused persons may likely tamper with investigation of the case with intent to elude justice.

After listening to the argument and submission of the two parties, the presiding judge, Suleiman Hassan adjourned till Monday 4th, of July 2016 for rulling.

The former Aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode, former finance, Minister Nnenadi Esther Usman, one Danjuma Yusuf, and a Limited liability company, Jointrust Dimentions Nigeria Limited were arraigned before the court on seventeen count charge of conspiracy and fraudulent conversion of N4.6 Billion
