Jerome Boateng: down after the handball error

Jerome Boateng, Germany’s centre back defender has been a butt of jokes after handling a ball inside the German box during the nervous match with Italy on Saturday night.

Mesut Ozil had shot the Germans ahead of Italy in the 65th minute, but the penalty kick scored by Leonardo Bonucci put the Italians back in the game and made the outcome very uncertain.

Although Boateng played very well during the match and scored his spot kick unlike the trio of Toni Kroos, Mezut Ozil and Bastian Schweinsteiger that misfired, Twitter burst out in wicked jokes against the 27 year old player, who plies his trade with Bayern Munich. Here are five leading jokes:
