Tsonga: prevails over Isner at the end

Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has beaten American big server John Isner to qualify for the fourth round of the Wimbledon championship.

The match which began yesterday lasted 4 hours, 24 minutes.

Tsonga, who was 2-0 down on Saturday rallied to even scores at 2-2 when the match resumed today.

The deciding fifth game dragged for over one hour until the Frenchman broke the giant American in the 35th game.

Tsonga then served for a place in the 4th round winning by 19-17, to meet compatriot Richard Gasquet.

In another match decided today, 22 year old French player, Lucas Pouille surprisingly defeated Argentine star Juan Martin del Potro in four sets. Potro had defeated Swiss twice Grand slam champion, Stan Wawrinka. Pouille will now meet Australian Bernard Tomic in the fourth round.
