Oliseh and Pinnick: When the going was good

Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has bluntly denied being in constant touch with Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick, as the latter claimed.

In a tweet message on Sunday, Oliseh stated that he no longer has any kind of relationship with Pinnick neither has he had any contact with the embattled NFF boss since he (Oliseh) walked out of his contract as National manager.

“Contrary to the false assertions being spread by Mr Amaju Pinnick, we are in no way close and I have avoided all contacts since my resignation!” he tweeted.

Oliseh resigned from his post as Super Eagles head coach in February, citing unpaid wages and a lack of support from the NFF.

Although the wage dispute has not been resolved, with Oliseh and the NFF making different claims, Pinnick has insisted he and Oliseh are in good terms.

But Oliseh said it is a lie.

The NFF is expected to announce Oliseh’s permanent replacement on Monday, with Frenchman Paul Le Guen as favourite to get the job.
