Six suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Mrs. Eunice Olawale, the Redeemed Christian Church of God preacher who was killed in Kubwa area of Abuja early Saturday morning were currently undergoing interrogation, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command said on Sunday.

ASP Anjuguri Manzah, the spokesman of the Command who said this in a statement added that the outcome of the investigation would be made public.

He also revealed that the FCT Commissioner of Police, Mr Alkali Usman, has ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) to lead discreet investigation into the murder.

The 40 years old female evangelist was murdered by unknown persons in the early hours of July 9 at Bazango Pipeline area of the satellite town.

Manzah added in the statement said that the Commissioner of Police commiserates with the family of the deceased while assuring them and other residents of Kubwa of the determination of the command to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

The Police also enjoined the residents and members of the public to remain calm and cooperate with the Police in the ongoing investigation.

The Police further clarified in the statement that apart from marks of injury inflicted on some parts of her body, all parts of the deceased body were intact contrary to some media reports that her head and legs were chopped-off

The law enforcement agency also said the remains of the deceased has been taken into custody for preservation and examination.
