Governor Ikpeazu

The Abuja division of Court of Appeal has started delivering judgment in the appeal filed by Governor Ikpeazu Okezie of Abia State against the ruling of a Federal High Court, Abuja which sacked him from office.

Justice Okon Abang had in the judgment sacked Ikpeazu from office over allegations that he supplied false tax information as a PDP Abia gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 general elections.

The judge had ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to issue a certificate of return to Uche Ogah, the litigant in the case who came second in the PDP primary for the Abia gubernatorial election.
