Between 3 and 7 August, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, hosted the 12th edition of the All Nigeria Editors’ Conference (ANEC) in Port Harcourt. Theme of this years’s conference is Economic Diversification: Agriculture as Option for a Prosperous Nigeria.

As part of the programmes, Wike personally led led members of the Guild on projects tour

    Hmmm…mmm the reason why the country will not move forward. When members of the 4th Estate themselves begin organising Public Relations visitations and conferences on a large-scale as the NGE and NUJ have been doing since the return of democracy, we will continue to have a shifting compass of values. God help us. I’m s senior editor myself but since 2005 I’ve refused to participate in the Guild’s activities because associations are not instruments to validate corruption, whatever we do in our personal; capacities
