The Chief of Army of Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, wept on Monday as led top military officers, family members, government officials and other sympathisers to the burial of seven military men killed by the Boko Haram terrorists during a futile attempt by the insurgents to seize the strategic town of Mallam Fatori in northern Borno State on 4 November in Abuja.

The soldiers killed include Lt.-Col. Muhammad Abu-Ali, generally regarded as one of the most gallant officers in the ongoing war against Boko Haram. The others are: Seargents Muazu Ibrahim, Bassey Okon, Hussani Jafaru, Cpl. Chukwu Simon, Private Salisu Lawal and Seaman Patrick Paul.
