The third edition of Agra Innovate West Africa is holding in Landmark Centre, Lagos. The event which began on Wednesday, 23 November will end on Friday, 25, November.

Once again, the conference and exhibition is being supported by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) and the Nigeria Agribusiness Group (NABG), and Chief Audu Ogbeh.

A representative of the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development will be making his appearance on Day Two of the event, where he will be doing a tour of the exhibition as well as a Q&A session available for all.

Other confirmed speakers are Hon ToyinSuarau (Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture), Dr. Harold Roy-Macauley (Africa Rice Center (AfricaRice), Fatima Ali Mohammed (Association of Ghana Industries), Dr. ’BisiAdeleye-Fayemi (Goodwill Ambassador, United Nations Women Nigeria), Hon. Lynda Hennang Barau (Plateau State Commissioner for Agriculture).

The first day of the event was an eventful with sessions featuring NABG, IITA, Poultry Association of Nigeria and GEMS, among many others.

“Agra Innovate is a very important outlet, is a platform to learn about how to be doing what we actually need,”expressed the Plateau State Commissioner for Agriculture.

“The first day of Agra Innovate was already a huge success, with over 1200 attendees. The rooms and the halls have been full and we have already been seeing extensive knowledge sharing, networking, technology transfer and deal-making. We have high hopes for the second day, and of course the free Farmers Training Day on 25 November,” says Folusho Olaniyan,  Programme Director,  Agra Innovate West Africa.
