President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday approved the appointment of Justice Ejembi Eko and Justice Amina A. Augie as Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
The two new justices were appointed the recommendation of the National Judicial Council, according to a statement by Soji Oye, acting Director of Information for the NJC,
He added that the two justices will be sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council, Mahmud Mohammed, on Monday at 2.00 p.m. in the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
It will be recalled that the president had on October 11 requested the Senate to consider and confirm the nominations of Sidi Bage, Nasarawa State, North Central; and Paul Jauro, Taraba State, North East as justices of Supreme Court.
