Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, has announced a formal dissolution of the State Executive Council.

Also dissolved are all Boards and Committees that were appointed by the administration of the outgoing Governor.

According to a press statement issued in the early hours of Saturday, by Mr. Peter Okhiria, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oshiomhole, the disolution of the Council followed the formal handing over by the outgoing Governor to the Governor-elect, Mr. Godwin Obaseki on November 11, 2016.

The press statement advised all political office holders to hand over to the Permanent Secretary or highest ranking serving officer in the Ministry, Department and Agency.

It also advised those holding government property to hand them over as earlier announced.

It however noted that all those on tenured appointments were not affected by the dissolution.

“The Comrade Governor thanks everyone for their respective contributions and wishes them well in their future endeavour,” the press statement concluded.
