Dr. Nkem Okeke: Deputy Governor, Anambra State

Anambra Deputy Gov. Nkem Okeke says peaceful co-existence remains the only critical factor that will deepen Nigeria’s democracy.

Okeke said this in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.

He said that Nigeria had come to stay as an entity and called for true oneness and unity among its citizens to enhance the country’s development.

Okeke enjoined Nigerians not to lose faith due to the fragile security situation in the country and the current economic crisis.

He urged Nigerians to continue to pray to God for peace and unity in the country, stressing the need for unity of purpose among the legislature, judiciary and executive arms of government to ensure quality living for the people.

Okeke said that he was very optimistic that Anambra, under the watch of Gov. Willie Obiano, take the socio-economic development to enviable level.

He urged all citizens of the state to support the governor to succeed and provide the expected dividends of democracy.

He also said that Nigerians, especially politicians, should shun actions and utterances capable of jeopardising peace and unity in the country.

Okeke also advised all Nigerians to be patriotic to promote peace, oneness and unity in the country.
