The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has assured that the incoming administration of Rotimi Akeredolu would make life better for the people when it assume duty on Feb. 24.
Mr Abayomi Adesanya, the party’s Publicity Secretary, gave the assurance on Saturday in Akure when he received an award as the Best Spokesperson of 2016, presented to him by Chronicle Magazine.
Adesanya said that the party would be firm and resolute in actualising its campaign promises in spite of current economic downturn.
“Ondo state residents will not be disappointed for voting for APC and as far as the party is concerned, its manifestoes will be adhered to strictly,” he said.
Adesanya said that several committees had been set up by the governor-elect, to ensure that the party did not renege on its promises.
According to him, the in-coming administration would not depend on federal allocation, but look inward to generate sufficient funds to finance its projects.
“We are going to invest heavily in agriculture to generate revenue and not rely on monthly allocation from Federal Government,” Adesanya said.
The APC spokesperson defended his attacks on the outgoing government of Olusegun Mimiko as objective.
“The messages in our criticisms against the outgoing government of Mimiko are well articulated, objective and people oriented,” he asserted. (NAN)
