Rivers seals off 3 companies over air pollution

Three companies were on Saturday sealed by the Rivers State Task Force on the Soot for aggravated air pollution, and breach of environmental laws in Port Harcourt.

In a statement made available to Journalists in Port Harcourt ,the companies are: Chinese Govt Company (CGC) Aluu, H$H Engineering Company Aluu, AUC Asphalt Company, Aluu.

The Task force further hinted that, “The directors of the affected companies will face prosecution in accordance with the law.

“The Task Force wishes to warn all individuals and companies that engage in practices that pollute the air and ruin the environment to desist immediately, or face the full consequences of their actions.

“While Rivers State remains open for business, the State Government is fully committed to the implementation of the United Nations (UN) declarations on the importance of fresh air, and the creation of sustainable livelihoods in our communities.
