Adeleke’s death: Loss to Nigerian politics- Awoniyi

The immediate past Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, has described the death of late Governor, Isiaka Adeleke, as a loss to the politics of South West in Particular and Nigeria as a whole.
Awoniyi in a condolence message, described the late Senator as a man who was passionate about Nigeria, said he contributed to the expansion of progressive politics in the south west.
Awoniyi in the statement added that the former governor would be remembered for peace, being a detribalized politician who was loved by his people for his meaningful impact.
While praying for God to console the immediate and extended family, the former deputy governor urged his political followers to accept the death of the late politician as an act allowed by God. He urged them to be consoled by the fact that he was a thorough breed Nigerian whose passion for development knew no bound.
Awoniyi in the statement signed by Abu Michael, said politicians should learn the virtues of humility, and development of the masses as exemplified by the late politician, noting that the late Adeleke, was courteous, compassionate and accessible.
The former Deputy Governor, prayed God to grant the soul of the deceased, eternal rest, and grant the government and people of Osun State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
