Some Candidates participating at the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Yenagoa on Saturday commended the JAMB, organisers of the examination, for hitch free examination process.

.The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that more than 1.7 million candidates are sitting for the examination, which commenced on Saturday, May 13, across the country.

NAN also reports that a total of 642, centres would be used for the examination with at least two members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in each of the centres.

In all, a total of 1,200 men of the NSCDC had been deployed to all the centres to beef security.

Mr Elvis Dubamo, a candidates who spoke with NAN at the Federal University of Otuoke Centre, said the exercise was hitch free and less stressful for him.
Dubamo added that apart from the system failure to pick at first, which latter picked, all other processes were what he described as ‘perfect’.

“The examination on its own and the centre are stress free, and the clean environment of the University.

“But, we initially had challenge of linking the question site because of technical error which was latter taken care of by the technicians.

“But in all the waiting, I am already through with my examination question now,” he said.

Another candidate, Sarah Balogun, also commended JAMB for its effort to ensure a successful conduct of the 2017 examination.

“This is my first attempt in writing this examination, I must confess that it was very impressive and smooth.

“The examination itself is simple for those candidate that prepared for it. I like the questions and by his grace, I have made it,” she said.

At a centre in Yenagoa, a candidate identified as Obah Samuel, also lauded JAMB for a job well done in the centre which was peaceful and conducive.

According to him, all logistics was appropriately put in place, adding that it is a feat worthy of commendation.
