Oyo State government on Tuesday announced a series of 15- day activities to commemorate the sixth year anniversary of the Governor Abiola Ajimobi led administration.
Alhaji Olalekan Alli, the Secretary to the State Government told journalists in Ibadan that among the activities lined up for the anniversary include commissioning of various projects across the geo-political zones of the state, the laying of foundation stone of Iseyin Aso-oke international Market, distribution of food items and a children conference on education.
He added that the Governor will also launch a statewide health insurance scheme as well as flag off of a housing scheme named after a former governor of the state, Omololu Olunloyo.
Other programmes of events, the SSG reeled out include: flag off of phase one of the free trade zone, the unveiling of Industrial Park Project, Jumat Service, all on Friday 26th May, 2017 and Children’s Day March past which is also in commemoration of this year’s children’s day on May 27th.
A thanksgiving service at Bodija Estate Baptist Church would hold on Sunday, 28, a world press conference/interactive session at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan on Monday, 29th.
The programme continues with the flag off of Gate-Airport-Alakia Road; flag off of Ajumose GRA (Old Ife Road) and Flag Off of Oke-Adu-Iwo Road Expansion Project on May 30th; Flag off of Omololu Olunloyo GRA, flag Off of Idi-Ape-Akobo-Oju Irin Road, Flag Off of Eleyele-Ologun-Eru-Eruwa Road.
Other events are Commissioning of CBN intervention Project at the Technical University, Ibadan; Commissioning of Mini Water works at Iganna and Ayete; flag off of Ajumose GRA, Saki, commissioning of 500-seat CBT Centre, Ago-Amodu; and Commissioning of Wamco Milk Initiative Saki.
