The General Overseer of Champions Royal Assembly Church, Prophet Joshua Iginla celebrated his birthday which Fell on last Sunday 21 May by doling out the sum of N23 million to 115  widows during the Church’s Live Service.

The General Overseer had during the service, suddenly, asked all the widows who were present to come out for prayers.

In response, widows, most of who were not even members of the church trooped out to the auditorium with no premonition of what the man of God intended to do.

No fewer than 115 widows responded to the call as the headcount later revealed.

The General Overseer then announced that he was giving each of the 115 widows N200,000  as a token of a celebration of his birthday for the widows, who, according to him, are his ‘Special Guests of Honour’.

The 200,000 naira cash, which was immediately arranged, was then presented to each widow personally by Prophet Iginla after he prayed on the cash and declared to the recipients, “go and prosper with it”.

“Whether you are a Muslim, whether you are Christian, it does not matter to me. What matters to me is that you don’t deserve to suffer,” Prophet Iginla said.

The overwhelmed widows could not hide their excitement as they profusely thanked the man of God with many of them sobbing in appreciation of the kind gesture.

The Prophet, however, asked them to appreciate God and not him, saying he was just doing what God asked him to do.

He also used the opportunity to appeal to other men of God to always use their wealth to touch the lives of the less-privileged, saying that’s the heartbeat of God.

“If you are a Man of God and don’t take care of these people – widows – in your Church, then I don’t know if Heaven is guaranteed.
