Igbo Quit Notice: Northern Elders Forum backs Arewa youths

The Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF), on Friday expressed support to the call by the Coalition of Northern Youth Groups for Igbos to leave the region within three months.

The forum expressed “disappointment” with the Northern Governors’ Forum for disowning the youth groups.

Prof. Ango Abdullahi, the NEF spokesperson told newsmen in Zaria on Friday, that it was hypocritical for the Igbos to continue to live in other parts of the country while agitating for Nigeria’s break up.

Ango said: “I am disappointed in the decision taken by Northern Governors’ Forum disowning and condemning the agitation by this young agile and progressive youth groups.

“Let me ask, these Northern governors, whom are they representing, are they representing spirits, ghost or people of the north?

“Recently, people from eastern part of this country, specifically Igbo, were busy calling for the Sovereign State of Biafra and from all indication their leaders including governors are behind them.”

According to him, whoever feels Nigeria “is not conducive for him” let him quit, adding that what the northern youth groups did was not a sin.

He lamented that none of the Northern governors reacted to the persistent call for the actualisation of Biafra and other agitations.

The spokesman said when Nnamdi Kanu was released on bail recently, over 100 vehicles escorted him to his residence including big personalities from the south-west and south-east.

“This is somebody who has been agitating for the breakup of Nigeria but his people were behind him, therefore, I am behind the youths.

“This is because the Northern youths are pushed to the wall, we have been calming them down in any event similar to this,” he noted.

Speaking specifically on the Igbos, Ango said the people from the south were always pretending that people from the north were cheating them.

“These people always pretend that the North is cheating them, not minding the fact that Southern Nigeria was developed by resources from the North.

“Please, look for a book written by Adamu FiKa, the Waziri of FiKa on Nigeria’s budget before and after independence.

“Each year, up to the time Nigeria gained its independence, none of the two regions was able to provide for itself.

“I mean none of the Western and Eastern regions had the money to effectively run the affairs of its region until they get financial support from the Northern region,” he said.

He recalled that the tradition had remained during the colonial masters and nothing changed after they left the country.

Ango said it was the same money from the North that was used to construct Nigerian Railways, refineries and other facilities.

“First oil exploration was conducted using money from groundnut pyramid, cotton, hide and skin among other cash crops from Northern Nigeria.

“However, these people tend to forget all these goodies provided by the North toward ensuring the unity and corporate existence of Nigeria.

“They always look down on us, feeling that Northerners are parasites in this country,” he said.

Why should northerners catch cold when when people talk about self determination as if they are the most weak set of people that reap where they did not sow. Now niger deltas are now talking about RONDEL, Igbos about Biafra, Yoruba Oduuwa. Few northerners that intended to move for Arewa shut up when they see they have nothing to fall back upon. Go ahead and intensify effort to get oil block in chad basin and to your notice Igbos can do without oil. Every right thinking man should know that this country is too big to be controlled by one man that regional government is the answer. These so called political elites that have their personal and ethnic interest instead of national interest will hie under the military organized paper they called constitution that has a lot of grammatical blunders such that a sentence may mean more than two opposing meaning because of wrong usage of verb and adjectives.
When we say Northern Nigeria every body within the territory will answer yes except few middle belt that are now aware of the weight of sledge hammer from the core north on their people. I decided one day to from my state to the furthest part of North, and was surprise that some people are still living in a cave or worst than cave. The only question i ask my self was if i am sure whether this north is the North that ha held power for more than four decade. I found out that another difference between the north and the south is that they have so many yes members , those that do not know the different between their left an right. No wonder a sect came out openly to denounce western education. A place where children that suppose to go to school will be roaming the street with plates and dirty clothe
and live on the mercy of the elites. While their elites always over shadow them and send their children to the best school. Their was a place we moved for more than 500KM and the only decent houses there are built by Igbos may be that is what Prof Ango Abuullahi and his lazy group is eyeing.
After all these observation and looking at the history on how came into being knowing that no state, city in these regions is called Nigeria. I come up this: that Nigeria originated from sin, that it is the girl friend to Luggard that that gave us this name and that is why nothing good will ever come out of it. That is why sin is multiplying day by day. Imagine Yakasai saying that not allowing cow grazing is human right abuse liking cow to human see mentality. our origin has made killing human being a sport event and not seen as forbidden things, see how Boko Harram transformed to fulani herdsmen under the watch of mr Buhari even before he left without a trace and Nigerian welcomed it. May be because our so called nation has its root from sin that is why evil are seen as part of life here in nigeria. See how UK mourn their people when suspected islamic militant killed about 22 an how nigeria ignore hundreds of people being killed every day by Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen. It is because we are from sin that is why different people with different ideology, part intelligent and part dullards, part Christian and part Islamic, part civilized and part barbaric, part gentle and the other terrorist. It is in Nigeria that illiterate triumph over educated. It still in Nigeria that a nation will be giving another nation light and they maintain living in darkness.
Is it because Nigerien is from sin that is why no group love to be a nigerian and we waist more that yearly budget for some rich African countries on integration of people of divert
interest and we get worst result at the end of the day. How much is Nigeria waisting every year for NYSC and what is the result. Because nigeria is from sin is it the reason why we have some slave and others master, some group living as parasite on others and weigh down the progressive group. Indeed should i see nigeria as a curse to us all.
No wonder a nationalist in his time made it clear that in Nigeria, united we fall
and divided we stand and i support him by saying restructure the nation political system by making the central weak and going to regional government or let us disintegrate ,
Then to Prof Osibanjo who liking Nigeria to marriage, i totally agree with him despite that UK did not go to our accord. I also want to remind him that forceful marriage can only last for a while, an any couple that quarrels alway, one can seek for separation or divorce either in court or outside court. Gone are the days when a father can force his daughter to a man or a man to his daughter. Now we have seen that the marriage is square peg on round hole an divorce is inevitable it is time for the government that be to call people together and discuss another method of existence or to your tent o’isreal.
