Polytechnic Registrar abducted by gunmen in Delta

Mr. Collins Ossai Onyenwenu, the Registrar of the Delta State Polytechnic was abducted by yet unidentified gunmen at about 3.30pm on Saturday while travelling in his official car along Ugiliamai/Onitcha-Ukwu Road in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the state, according to a report on Saharareporters.

The website reported that abductors of the Registrar abandoned his car on the road while a senior lecturer at the Polytechnic confirmed that Onyenwenu was ambushed and forcibly taken away to an unknown destination while he was driving.

The kidnappers are yet to contact the school authorities or the Registrar’s family.

Delta State Police Commissioner, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, confirmed the abduction to SaharaReporters and explained that efforts are being made to secure Mr. Ossai’s release.
